Fabric Care 101: How to Preserve Your Nasha Fabrics for 10+ Years

You’ve invested in a premium Nasha Fabrics unstitched suit. The digital print is vibrant, the sequence embroidery is intricate, and the damar patchwork is flawless. But how do you keep it that way?

We often receive questions about fabric maintenance. To help you protect your wardrobe staples, we’ve compiled the ultimate care guide for premium Pakistani fabrics, covering everything from Lawn to Wool.

1. The Golden Rule: Dry Cleaning vs. Hand Wash

For Winter Wool & Wash & Wear: Always follow the label. Our winter collection specifies "Dry Clean Only." Why? Wool fibers swell when agitated in water. Even if the water is cold, the friction from machine washing causes felting—where the fibers tangle and shrink the fabric permanently.

For Summer Lawn & Digital Print:

  • Do not Soak: Never leave your lawn suit soaking in water overnight. The colors can bleed.

  • Cold Water: Use cold water and a mild detergent (like a shampoo for fabrics). Hot water sets stains and shrinks cotton.

2. Handling Sequence and Embroidery

The beautiful sequence embroidered fronts on our 3-Piece Suits are delicate.

  • Reverse Washing: Turn the suit inside out before putting it in the machine or bucket. This protects the threads from snagging on the machine drum or your fingers.

  • The Plastic Bag Trick: For suits with heavy embroidery, place the embroidered front inside a mesh laundry bag or even a clean pillowcase. This dramatically reduces friction.

3. Ironing Tips

  • Wool: Always use a pressing cloth (a thin, clean cotton cloth) between the iron and the wool. Use the "Wool" setting. Never press directly, or you will create a shiny "iron burn" mark.

  • Lawn: Iron while the fabric is slightly damp. This removes wrinkles faster and acts as a natural starch. For our Premium Wash & Wear variants, ironing is often optional—just hang them up after the wash cycle dries.

4. Storage Solutions

Unstitched fabric should be stored flat in a cool, dry place. Avoid hanging the fabric for long periods, as gravity can warp the threads.

By following these steps, your Nasha Fabrics purchases will survive season after season, retaining their color, print, and texture.
